Déjà vu - View from the Mount - Gun Confiscation - Last Refuge of the Tyrant

Few polarizing subjects are more hotly debated than gun control. Usually lost in the fray of emotional diatribes to ban guns, are the historic empirical foundations of our forefathers who fought a revolution to escape from imperial tyranny. The true reality in today’s AmeriKa is that individual liberty is the most despised activity that any citizen can exert in their lives. Both the popular state worship culture and the authoritarian hoodlums that run the government are so fearful of armed independent citizens, that they are eager to burn the Bill of Rights. Face it, the government is committed to force you to be a ward of the state and will kill you if you resist.

Déjà vu - Strappado Wrack - Who Do Intelligence Snoops Serve?

"I strongly believe the CIA is ably led by George Tenet," George W. Bush said in an Oval Office interview to be broadcast Sunday on NBC's "Meet the Press." Well, from the perspective of the Intelligence Community culture, the president is probably correct. However; the essential question that is continuously ignored, asks if those assets serve the American People!

Déjà vu - View from the Mount - A Philosophy for the Tea Party Movement

Whatever your opinion of the Tea Party movement, all should agree the mainstream media’s characterization is less than objective. Descriptions are all over the map. Claims of dark motivations behind the phenomenon or criticism of strategy and tactics stream endlessly from the establishment pundits. The constant assault from vested interests is the current method of maintaining political control. They fear any authentic grass roots endeavor, to dump the political trash, from the cesspool of chummy cronyism. Alas, a controversy that the common man and woman can partake, with a sense of making a difference.

Déjà vu - Strappado Wrack - If terrorists were really serious

"Them against us", is the battle cry.  Forget about a "global struggle against violent extremism," it's a war, so says President Bush.  Keep the pressure up and the fraud going.  Never let the debate discuss the merits of the strategy or the results of the policy.  Thinking can never be allowed to penetrate the decisions.  Attack any opposition to the course of escalation and permanent intervention.  Fight them "Over There", so we can be safe at home!  Ever wonder why these terrorists keep building nail bombs while the great super power runs their search and destroy missions?
